| Installing the interiors. |
| The tiled milk room is ready and waiting for the equipment. |
| The building is just about ready for the fixtures. |
| The office is placed about a meter higher than the surrounding areas to provide a good overview. |
| The VMS room is ready for the VMS unit. |
| The equipment is being installed in the milk room. |
| To get the best floor quality, specialists are called in to spread the mastic asphalt. |
| Mastic asphalt is spread in a 35 mm thick layer on top of the concrete floor. This surface allows the cows to move in a more natural way since the risk of slipping is diminished. |
| To get the right surface structure the asphalt is covered with sand and polished. A second polishing is done to make sure that it will not be to coarse for the cows’ hooves. |
| The Hamra Farm Manager, Ingvar Astrand, follows the construction work to the smallest detail. |
| The new cubicles have been tested in the old loose house barn and are now being installed here. |
| The VMS united is “on its way”. The automatic manure system and feeding system are now in place. |
| The electrician “El-Ove” has made installations at Hamra Farm for many years. This time he and his colleagues are installing 3 kilometers of cables in the new barn! |
| The new barn requires extensive electric installations. |
| The exterior is being painted on August 13, 2002. The exterior is decorated to blend in with the other buildings at Hamra as they have been from the very first years of the 20th century. |
| The ridge ventilators are automatically opened and closed by the wind. |
| On August 27, 2002, the builders were more or less finished, but the last of the interior installations remained. |
