Andrew L. Skidmore, DVM, Ph. D

Dr. Skidmore currently serves as General Manager of Dairy Innovations, Attica, New York, a company formed to research and bring new products to the market. He is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 700-cow dairy and a member of the Linwood Management Team which oversees the management of 7 dairies totaling approximately 6,000 cows.

Dr. Skidmore has served as a Farm Business consultant as an Assistant Professor of Dairy Management at Michigan State University, and an instructor in dairy herd health at Cornell University. He began his veterinary career in a four person practice in south central Wisconsin.

Dr. Skidmore received his DVM from Kansas State University in 1984 and his Ph.D. from Cornell University with a Dairy Management major and Epidemiology and nutrition minor.

Dr. Skidmore is a member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, American Dairy Science Association, and the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists. He has published over 80 articles on the technical aspects of dairy production management and has delivered dairy management presentations both nationally and internationally.
