Rumen number 1105 interior -- This shot shows the excellent papilli development and healthy dark coloration associated with proper feeding of calves from birth to twelve weeks of age. The dark coloration is caused by increased tissue and larger blood vessels (vascularization). More tissue means more development, which means the rumen is likely to be quite productive later in life.
